Roundabouts are often a safer intersection solution than traffic signals or stop signs. They are increasingly becoming more popular across the nation because of the benefits they provide. By keeping traffic moving one-way in a counterclockwise direction, traffic flows smoothly with fewer delays, and the severity of crashes is greatly reduced.
The City of Frisco has four multi-lane roundabouts.

Roundabouts also reduce vehicle stops and delays compared to traditional intersections.

Because roundabouts improve the efficiency of traffic flow, they also reduce vehicle emissions and fuel consumption.

With limited or no electrical costs and lower maintenance requirements, roundabouts are more cost efficient.

Observe all road rules.
Slow down.
Choose your lane based on the signs and pavement markings.
Yield for pedestrians in crosswalks.
Yield to traffic in all lanes to your left before entering.
Don’t change lanes until you have exited the roundabout.
