New Opportunity - Now Taking Applications for the Charter Review Commission
The City of Frisco is now accepting applications for the Charter Review Commission. Deadline to apply isWednesday, May 8, 2024 at 5 p.m.
The Charter Review Commission will be appointed by City Council and will consist of 10 appointees with 2 alternates. City Council will make appointments to the Commission at the June 4, 2024, Regular City Council meeting.
The Commission will be tasked with reviewing the current City Charter to determine if any updates or changes are needed. The Commission will make their final recommendations to City Council for consideration at the October 15, 2024, Regular City Council Meeting.
Time Commitment: Serving on the Charter Review Commission requires a substantial time commitment. The Charter Review Commission will meet weekly or bi-weekly from June 2024 into October 2024. Each Charter Review Commission meeting could be as long as two-to-three hours.
Requirements: Interested applicants must have lived in the City of Frisco for at least one (1) year prior to applying and must be a qualified registered voter.
Both the Charter Review Commission Application and resume must be submitted together for the application package to be considered complete. Boards & Commissions Applications
The City of Frisco accepts online applications for Boards/Commissions annually during the month of July. On July 1, 2024, an online portal will be available on the Boards & Commissions webpage of the City’s website to access and submit an application.
Interested applicants must have lived in the City of Frisco for at least one (1) year prior to applying and must be a qualified registered voter. Term dates will begin October 1, 2024, and regular attendance is expected. All terms are for two (2) years unless indicated otherwise.
