(May 2, 2024)  As part of NTTA’s Tollway widening project, westbound Main St. will be closed at Dallas Pkwy. for seven nights starting  May 2. The road will close at 11 p.m. each night and will reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning.  The final closure in this series will be Wednesday night, May 8, extending into Thursday morning, May 9.

During this closure, westbound Main St. will be closed under the bridge of the Tollway. The adjacent U-turn lane will also be closed. Through traffic on Dallas Parkway will not be affected but no northbound traffic will be able to make a left-turn onto Main St. and no southbound traffic will be able to make a U-turn at this intersection.  The specific road closures are shown on the attached map (PDF) and described below.  Detour signs will be posted. 

• WB Main St. will be closed at Dallas Pkwy. and all traffic on that road will be forced to turn right onto northbound Dallas Pkwy. Drivers can make a U-turn at Eldorado Pkwy. and then use southbound Dallas Pkwy. to reach Main St. and continue their journey west. 
• NB Dallas Pkwy. will not be affected except that no one on that road will be able to turn left onto westbound Main St. Drivers wanting to make this movement can follow the detour described above by making a U-turn at Eldorado Pkwy.
• SB Dallas Pkwy. will not be affected except that no one on that road will be able to make a U-turn at Main St. to northbound Dallas Pkwy. Drivers wanting to make this movement can make a left-turn onto Main St. and then make a left-turn onto northbound Dallas Pkwy.
