Chief Hutt's journey with the Frisco Fire Department began as a volunteer in June 2008. Quickly recognizing his passion for the fire service, he transitioned to a full-time firefighter with the Frisco Fire Department in September of the same year. 

Chief Hutt has spent the last 15 years serving the citizens of Frisco in numerous capacities. Chief Hutt has ascended through the ranks in a tireless pursuit of professional development and has held the roles of Lieutenant, Captain, and Battalion Chief. Chief Hutt developed the Health and Safety Division in 2014 alongside a fellow group of dedicated men and women. Chief Hutt later served as the Battalion Chief of Special Operations where he oversaw operations of complex or hazardous incidents including confined space recues, high-angle-rescues, swift water rescues, and hazardous materials responses. Presently serving as Battalion 2 on C-Shift, he is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of 4 fire stations on the west side of Frisco.

Chief Hutt holds numerous certifications through Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP), including Hazardous Materials Technician, Fire Officer I-IV, Driver/Operator, Health and Safety Officer, Incident Safety Officer, Instructor I and II, and Master Firefighter. Additionally, Chief Hutt is a graduate of the National Fire Academy's Managing Officer Program and TEEX's Fire Service Chief Executive Officer Program. Beyond his professional endeavors, Chief Hutt holds a bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communications from Texas A&M University.
