Animal Services

Responsibilities

The Animal Services Division of the Frisco Police Department strives to deliver effective, courteous, and responsive animal care and control services to the residents of Frisco. Protecting public safety and ensuring animal welfare are accomplished through compassionate, responsive, professional enforcement of the laws and public policy.

Some concerns that Animal Services addresses are:

Rabies control and other zoonotic diseases
Enforcement of city, state, and federal laws
Public education
Vaccination requirements
Stray and/or abandoned animals
Neglected/abused animals
Unsanitary conditions
Wildlife and livestock issues
Ownership limitation requirements

Report Concerns

The City of Frisco encourages people to report coyote and bobcat sightings through an interactive form that links to a map designed to track sightings in our city – including attacks and aggressive behavior. Frisco Animal Services will use the information to identify territories, travel patterns, and places where unusually aggressive animals have been spotted. Find the sightings map.

Emergency concerns should be reported by dialing 911. For all other reports, contact Frisco Animal Services through Dispatch at 972-292-6010.
