Traffic Unit

The Traffic Unit is the department's specialized unit that focuses primarily on traffic enforcement, accident investigation, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement (CVE), and investigating hit and run offenses. Additionally, the unit is also responsible for:

Fatality Collision Investigation
Collision Reconstruction
Filing DWI Cases involving blood specimens

Equipment used by the unit includes:

Marked and slick top Chevrolet Tahoes
Harley Davidson police motorcycles
Radar and LIDAR (laser) speed measuring devices
