Reporting Violations

To report a violation of a city code, please call the Code Enforcement Division at 972-292-5302. Code Enforcement Officers inspect properties daily; therefore, a Code Enforcement Officer may not be available to receive a complaint call. Please leave a voice mail message. You may also send your concern via email.

Please ensure you provide the complete street address or cross-street location, and type of complaint (i.e., falling fence, tall vegetation, illegal sign, etc.), and any other information that may be useful for a Code Enforcement Officer. For after-hours life/safety emergencies, please call Police Communications (non-emergency line) at 972-292-6010.

To remain anonymous when reporting a violation, call in your concern without giving a name and phone number. Please note that emails are not anonymous as they contain the sender's address.
