Dallas Cowboys / FISD / City of Frisco Partnership

On August 21, 2016, the City of Frisco, the Frisco Independent School District and the Dallas Cowboys celebrated the grand opening of The Ford Center at The Star with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The facility is part of the Frisco North Platinum Corridor comprised of four mixed-use developments along the Dallas North Tollway in between Warren Parkway and Lebanon Road.

This project was developed as part of a public-private partnership between:
  • The City of Frisco, including the Frisco Economic Development Corporation (FEDC) and the Frisco Community Development Corporation (FCDC)
  • The Frisco Independent School District (FISD)
  • The Dallas Cowboys
The Ford Center at The Star is a state-of-the-art, 510,000 square foot indoor athletic facility to be shared by the Dallas Cowboys, the City of Frisco, and Frisco ISD’s eight high schools. The facility features 12,000 in folding fixed seats, similar to those found at AT&T Stadium. It houses Frisco ISD events such as football games, soccer games, marching band competitions, commencement exercises and other similar events.

The Ford Center (also known as the multi-use event center) is owned by the City of Frisco, but it is managed by the Dallas Cowboys with the organization paying all maintenance and operation costs.
The Star site covers 91 total acres of land. 

The Cowboys broke ground on The Star on August 22, 2014. On August 13, 2013, the City of Frisco, FISD announced a partnership with the Dallas Cowboys, establishing Frisco as the home of the Cowboys' world corporate headquarters and training facility.
