Open Records Request

Public Information

In accordance with the Texas Public Information Act, Public Information Requests (PIRs) must be submitted in writing. Upon receipt the City will begin processing your request in the order in which it was received.

Public Information Requests should be for documents, or other information that is already in existence. The City of Frisco is not required to answer questions, perform legal research, or comply with a continuing request to supply information on a periodic basis.

The City of Frisco may ask for clarification of any submitted Public Information Request if it is uncertain as to what is being requested or if the request is deemed voluminous. Please note some records of the City of Frisco may be exempt from disclosure.

When submitting a request for public information, please keep in mind that information may accrue a cost to process. Additionally, should the office determine that your request will cost more than $40, a cost estimate will be provided to you.
