ADAAA - The American with Disabilities Act as Amended

Under the American with Disabilities Act as Amended (ADAAA), reasonable accommodation can be requested. The preferred method to request accommodation is by emailing the Standard at CityofFriscoADA@Standard.com

  • You will need to include your name, job description, and any other pertinent details to your request for ADA.
  • For a list of job descriptions under the city, please visit our position description page here.

When a request for an accommodation is submitted to the Standard, it will be reviewed, and a determination will be made regarding the request. View our ADA guide reference here.

A reasonable accommodation is any change in the work environment (or in the way things are usually done) to help a person with a disability apply for a job, perform the duties of a job, or enjoy the benefits and privileges of employment. Examples of reasonable accommodation might include, making the workplace accessible for wheelchair users or providing a reader or interpreter for someone who is blind or hearing impaired.
