Welcome to the Frisco Police Department’s Online Reporting System (FORS).  This system provides a convenient way for citizens to report a crime that occurred in Frisco.  However, not all offenses are eligible for online reporting.  In some cases, you may need to call our non-emergency number (972-292-6010) and speak with an officer by phone.

To report recurring traffic-related issues, parking concerns, or abandoned/junk vehicles, please submit the information using the FPD Online Traffic Complaint Form.

To report issues around the city involving Public Works, Environmental Services, Parks and Recreation, etc., please submit the information using myFrisco Service Requests.

To receive a copy of a police report, please submit a Police Public Information Request.

ELIGIBILITY

The following conditions must first be met in determining whether the incident may be reported online:

  • The offense occurred within the city limits of Frisco.
  • There is no known suspect.
  • There is no physical evidence that needs to be collected.
  • You do not need to speak with an officer.

PLEASE NOTE

  • In filing a report online, an officer will not respond to your location.
  • Online reports are for reporting purposes only. You will not be contacted by an investigator.
  • Filing a false police report is a crime.

FILING A REPORT

The following incident types are eligible for online reporting.  Please select the one appropriate for your situation and follow the subsequent prompts.  If your type of incident is not listed, or the incident you are reporting has a known suspect, please call us instead at 972-292-6010.

HARASSMENT

Definition: When a person initiates communication by telephone, text, in writing, or by other electronic communication with the intent to harass, annoy, alarm, abuse, torment, or embarrass another. 

Examples: An unknown person has placed unwanted phone calls or sent unwanted texts to you that are annoying, harassing, or threatening in nature, including immediate hang-ups, or that contain obscene language, etc.

*Stalking is not eligible for online reporting. If you are the victim of stalking, please call our non-emergency number (972.292.6010) to speak with an officer.

CREDIT/DEBIT CARD ABUSE

Definition: When a person uses or presents a credit/debit card knowing it was not issued to him or used it without the owner's consent, or benefits from a credit/debit card they know is stolen. This is a separate incident from the theft of a credit card. If your card has been stolen AND used, two reports should be filed; one for Credit/Debit Card Abuse and one for the Theft/Burglary in which the card was stolen.

Examples: An unknown person has used your credit/debit card or card number to make purchases without your permission, or you notice purchases on your credit card statement that you did not make. (The transaction must have occurred in Frisco or completed online)

IDENTITY THEFT

Definition: When a person fraudulently uses another's identifying information, usually for financial gain.

Examples: An unknown person has used your name, social security number, date of birth, etc. to obtain goods or services.

FORGERY

Definition: When a person alters, copies, or imitates something, without authority, with the intent to deceive or defraud.

Examples: An unknown person has altered or copied money, checks, coins, stamps, wills, trademarks, or other symbols of value, right, privilege, or identification.

THEFT

Definition: When a person unlawfully takes possession of another's property without their consent. The theft cannot have occurred as a result of a break-in to a home, business, or vehicle.

Examples: An unknown person has stolen items from your yard, driveway, porch, or other common shared areas. This includes construction material thefts and shoplifting. (Lost or mislaid property is not theft)

VANDALISM

Definition: When a person deliberately damages, destroys, or tampers with property, causing pecuniary loss or substantial inconvenience to the owner. Graffiti is a separate offense. 

Examples: An unknown person has scratched your vehicle, broken your window, damaged your mailbox, etc. This applies to personal and public property as well as vehicles.

GRAFFITI

Definition: When a person intentionally or knowingly marks property with paint, indelible marker, or etching/engraving device.

Examples: An unknown person has scribbled writings or drawings, scratched, or spray-painted on a wall, building, sidewalk, or another surface without the owner's consent.Report Graffiti button Opens in new window

THEFT FROM A VEHICLE

Definition: When a person steals property from inside a motor vehicle.

Examples: An unknown person has removed from the interior of a vehicle (locked or unlocked) a purse, GPS, radar detector, factory radio, laptop, etc.

*Firearm thefts are not eligible for online reporting. If your firearm has been stolen out of your vehicle, please call our non-emergency number (972.292.6010) to speak with an officer.

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION

Definition: When a person steals property from a home or attached garage not under construction (breaking and entering).

Examples: An unknown person has removed lawn equipment, a bicycle, golf clubs, etc. from inside your home or attached garage.Report Burglary of a Habitation button Opens in new window


BURGLARY OF A BUILDING

Definition: When a person steals property from the interior of a building that is NOT a residence (breaking and entering).

LOST PROPERTY

Definition: When a person discovers that property is missing or lost, not stolen.
