Volunteers are the heart of a community. Our volunteers are a valuable resource for our fast-growing, fast-paced city.

In 2023, there were a total of 1,560 volunteers serving a cumulative total of 27,323 hours of time to the City of Frisco with a value of approximately $869K.

The City of Frisco relies on our volunteers for everything from staffing special events - such as Frisco Freedom Fest and Merry Main Street - to assisting departments with daily activities, such as shelving library books, filing records or using GIS equipment.

Becoming a volunteer is easy!

  • Simply complete the online registration
  • To register as a new volunteer, you'll need to search for 'City of Frisco' in the 'Search for an organization' section. For complete registration instructions, see our Online Registration Process page. We've also created this helpful document (PDF) with step-by-step instructions.
  • Once registered, you will receive an email invitation from 'The Advocates' to complete an online background check (if you are 17 years of age or older).

Once we receive this information, we'll explore your interests, qualifications and skill set to match you to available opportunities.
