Preventing Water Waste

Here in Frisco, 70% of water use is related to irrigation. Using the cycle and soak method of watering, will help to reduce water waste. Remember that running your sprinklers for 30 minutes uses as much water as a four hour shower.

Small leaks in your sprinkler system can add up quickly. A leak that produces a drip about 1/16" will waste around 74,000 gallons over a three month period. Schedule a FREE sprinkler system check-up today with a City of Frisco licensed irrigator. They will evaluate your system for water efficiency. Water saved is money earned on your utility bill.

Did you know that minor in-home water leaks account for more than 1 trillion gallons of wasted water each year? According to the EPA, that's equal to the amount of water used by 11 million homes annually.

Doing a quick check of your home's water fixtures and adjusting your habits can help save water, and every drop counts! It just makes WaterSense!
