The City of Frisco is proud to let its customers know they receive safe, high-quality drinking water. Each year, the city provides an annual drinking water quality report to its water customers. Frisco’s water system has a Superior rating with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and exceeds all state and federal drinking water standards. To receive a printed version of this report, contact the Public Works Department at 972-292-5800.
The most recent information regarding our water quality can be found on the North Texas Municipal Water District's webpage that is dedicated to Water Quality Reports.

Watering Recommendation: No watering is needed The data from Frisco’s weather station is recommending that no watering is needed. If you think your lawn needs extra water, confirm this first with a moisture meter. Moisture meters are a very quick way to determine how much moisture your soil is holding.
Reminder for all City of Frisco water users (residential & commercial)
Spray irrigation can only be used on your trash pick-up day
No spray irrigation between the hours of 10AM and 6PM
Water runoff should not be evident
Moisture Meters. Our clay soil can retain water for extended periods of time and sitting water -or- too much water can cause lawn and foundation problems. A moisture meter is a handheld device that can detect water in the soil at various depths (aim for 4-6 inches beneath the surface - the depth for roots of warm-season turfgrasses). Include the readings of your moisture meter when deciding to run (or not run) your irrigation system. You'll be surprised on how well the clay holds water.
Rain Sensors. Your automatic irrigation system should have a sensor that will not allow for your irrigation system to operate when a certain amount of rain has been received. However, your system may not alert you to when you need a new battery or if it is not working efficiently due to debris build up.
