Name a Park

The City of Frisco invites citizens to participate in the naming of Frisco Parks and Recreation parks, trails and facilities. Locations that are up for naming will be listed here along with deadlines.

How to propose a name for a park, trail, facility or facility asset:

1. Read the City of Frisco Park Naming Policy (PDF)

2. Complete the Park & Trail Naming Nomination Form.

3. Email supporting documents (letters of support, articles, commendations, etc.) to parknaming@friscotexas.gov or mail/deliver to Play Frisco, attn: Park Naming Committee, 6726 Walnut Street, Frisco, TX 75034.

Applications that are complete (including any supporting documents) and submitted by the deadline will be considered by the Park Naming Committee. The Park Naming Committee reviews applications and makes recommendations to the City Council for approval.

Park and Trail Naming Committee

The Park Naming Committee consists of one member of the Parks and Recreation Board, as chosen by the board; one member of the Frisco City Council, as chosen by the Council; one member of the  Frisco Community Development Corporation, as chosen by the FCDC; one member of the Frisco Heritage Association, as chosen by the Frisco Heritage Association; and four members of the public, chosen by City Council.
