Frisco has nine places where you can cast a line. Go out in nature, relax, and get angling!

Know the rules before you go

Frisco Parks & Recreation Ordinance: Fishing shall be permitted only from the banks of any creek, pond, lake or other bodies of water in any park. No trotlines, throw lines, fish traps or nets shall be permitted. Fish may not be cleaned in any park. Other fishing regulations apply as outlined by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Fishing Events

Trick A Trout: Vial Lake at Warrens Sports Complex is stocked with over 3,000 rainbow trout for this annual kids' fishing event on Saturday, February 20th from 8 - 11 a.m. 

Basic Angler Learn to Fish: Join the Frisco Natural Resources Division at the Frisco Public Library on Monday, November 6 at 11:30 a.m., for a beginner's fishing workshop, no experience required! Registration is required and can be done here!

Learn to Fish program: Sign the kids up to learn to fish sessions taught by Texas Parks and Wildlife certified angler instructors. Contact naturalresources@friscotexas.gov for more information.
