Wastewater Infrastructure Projects
Stewart Creek North Sewer Interceptor To accommodate the growing demand for wastewater services, the City of Frisco is increasing capacity and enhancing the future of its wastewater collection infrastructure. The Stewart Creek North Sewer Interceptor project consists of two phases.
Phase 4A includes construction of a wastewater interceptor, which extends 9,870 linear feet from the BNSF Railroad eastward to Woodstream Drive near Oakbrook Park. Phase 4A is ongoing and making good progress. To minimize impact to homes and neighborhoods, a section of the pipeline will be installed in Oakbrook Park and a nearby walking trail. Phase 4B will extend the project eastward to Main and Preston. Construction is anticipated to begin in Q1 of 2024.
Phase 4A Project Details City Council awarded the contract in March. Construction began in April. Fossil Ridge Drive will be reduced to one lane near the community pool while crews install the underground pipe. Crews removed an abandoned building in Oakbrook Park. Upon completion, the contractor will plant approximately 58 trees in Oakbrook Park and nearby walking trail. Anticipated project completion is Q3 2024, weather permitting. Project Updates City staff maintains ongoing communication with homeowner associations and neighborhoods in the vicinity.
Newsletters Notes Concerning Construction Activity Construction schedules change, sometimes with little notice, for any number of reasons. Please understand there will be changes. Construction work is dependent on the weather. Information regarding all construction timelines and activities is weather permitting . Rain will cancel most construction activity. In addition, certain activities require specific temperatures or dry weather for a previous number of days before execution. We appreciate your patience.
