FedEx Delivery Robot

The FedEx Corporation partnered with the City of Frisco to test its Autonomous Personal Delivery Device. Roxo, the FedEx on demand delivery robot, spent two weeks testing in Frisco in October 2019.

The last mile of delivery is traditionally one of the most expensive legs for a transportation company. The robot is designed to automate the last mile and make deliveries more efficient. Testing occurred on predetermined routes along Legacy Drive.

Addressing last mile delivery needs helps city engineers rethink curb space management and sidewalk design in order to be ready for the new technology when it becomes mainstream.
