Uber Elevate

Ridesharing company Uber is planning to take its business model to the air with the Uber Elevate program. Uber announced Frisco will be one of the first cities in the world to offer Uber Air flights. Test flights could begin as early as 2020, and Uber hopes to make aerial ridesharing commercially available as early as 2023.

Hillwood Properties, the developer of the Frisco Station development in Frisco’s North Platinum Corridor, partnered with Uber to develop three hubs for the Uber Air flights. A helipad was constructed at Frisco Station which will serve as the first test site for Uber Elevate. Aerial ridesharing will enable rapid, reliable transportation that can take passengers from Frisco Station to DFW International Airport in just seven minutes.
