Starship Technologies Robot

Starship Technologies partnered with the City of Frisco to test food and grocery deliveries in west Frisco. Starship deployed 35 Personal Delivery Devices (PDDs) to Frisco and spent 10 weeks testing in summer 2020.

City engineers worked with Starship to provide access for the robots to travel across major roadways and use pedestrian services electronically, like pushing the button at a crosswalk. During the pilot program, the PDDs traveled a total of 4,621 miles, averaging 59.2 miles per day.

Starship typically provides food and beverage delivery service at UTD and other college campuses.
