Waze for Cities Program

City engineers are positioning Frisco for the future through innovative technology and mobility solutions with further enhancement of the Waze for Cities (W4C) Program. Through this program, drivers can use the Waze app to navigate around road closures and major accidents.

Frisco has elevated the use of Waze on the city level with the development of a Waze dashboard. The dashboard leverages two-way data sharing with Waze through their Waze for Cities Program and displays traffic alerts reported by Wazers. It allows traffic engineers to intervene and help drivers maneuver around congestion in Frisco. The dashboard has a tremendous impact on traffic congestion and provides a time-saving tool for first responders.
