Charles “Charlie” Marts is the Deputy Chief of Operations for A-Shift for the City of Frisco, Texas.

Chief Marts began his fire service career in 2002 with the City of Frisco as a Firefighter/EMTB. He completed Paramedic school in 2003 and has advanced through the ranks, holding the positions of Lieutenant, Captain, Operations Battalion Chief, and Battalion Chief of Special Operations/Health and Safety. Chief Marts currently holds the rank of Deputy Fire Chief on A-Shift. He also oversees the Special Operations and Health and Safety Programs.

Chief Marts has earned an Associate of Applied Arts degree in Fire Science from Collin College and a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science in Organizational Leadership from Texas A&M University-Commerce. He is also a TEEX Fire Service Chief Executive Officer Program graduate.

Chief Marts holds numerous professional certifications that include Master Firefighter, Fire Officer IV, TCFP Driver Operator, Hazmat Technician, High angle Rescue Technician, Trench Rescue Technician, and Confined Space Rescue Technician.
