Deputy Chief of Police Jason Jenkins

 Jason Jenkins is an Investigations Bureau Commander for the Frisco Police Department. Deputy Chief Jenkins entered Texas law enforcement in 1997 as a police officer and currently holds a Master Peace Officer license in the State of Texas. He is a graduate of ILEA’s School of Police Supervision, IACP’s Leadership in Police Organizations, and the FBI National Academy’s 249th Session. Jason holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Tarleton State University and a Master of Science degree in Criminology with a focus on Homeland Security from Texas A&M- Commerce.
 
 Deputy Chief Jenkins has supervisory experience in Patrol, Criminal Investigations, School Resource Officer Division, Community Services/ Public Information, Crime Victim Advocates / Grants Administration, K-9 Program, Special Operations Unit, and Communications. He now provides oversight for the Department’s Operations Bureau which includes the Patrol Division, the Special Operations Unit, K-9, the Deployment Unit, and the Traffic Unit.  
 
Deputy Chief Jenkins came to the Frisco Police Department in 1999, with previous law enforcement experience at the Tarleton State University Police Department and as an MP in the United States Marine Corps. Deputy Chief Jenkins is married and has one daughter.
