Deferred Disposition Request

  1. DID YOU PAY YOUR TICKET BEFORE SENDING THIS FORM?

If your answer is yes, STOP and call the Clerk's office at 972.292.5555. Payment for Deferred Disposition may be made ONLY AFTER the Court has granted Deferral and you got a notice from the Court with payment instructions. Any payment that is made without being authorized may result in a conviction. No pague antes de obtener una respuesta del tribunal.

If you are under the age of 17 or charged with an offense under the Texas Alcohol Beverage Code, Tobacco Offense or violations of the Texas Penal Code then you CANNOT use this online form.

  2. Read Carefully and Completely

This form allows you to make your request for Deferred Disposition. Your request will be reviewed by Court staff and you will be contacted by email or by phone once a determination has been reached on your eligibility. If you have more than one violation on a citation, you may request Deferral on all eligible violations on one citation.

If granted, a Deferral Agreement will be emailed to you along with your payment requirements. If you are under the age of 25 and charged with a moving violation, you will be required to complete a driver's safety course as a term of your deferral. Additionally, if you hold a Provisional Driver's License you will also be required to complete a Road Test with the Department of Public Safety.

The Court assesses a special expense fee on deferral orders. For timely requests, this is normally $50 above the bench fine amount but not to exceed any statutory maximum fine.

By using this form and giving your contact information, you agree to receive email and text messages from the court for schedule, due date, and payment reminders. Msg and data rates may apply.

WARNING FOR CASES IN ACTIVE WARRANT/S STATUS.  Warrants will remain active and you may still be subject to arrest until the court accepts the plea and enter a judgment or order.
