Frisco's Northern Corridor Roadway Projects
The City of Frisco is investing more than $201 million ($201,987,000) on 10 major roadway construction and/or improvement projects throughout the city’s northern corridor. Construction on five of the roadway projects is underway, including reconstruction of more than 18 miles of the Dallas North Tollway (DNT) main lanes through Frisco. Follow this link for a map, chart of the city's roadway project investments.

On February 6, Chief David Shilson, Frisco Police Department, provided staff research related to 'crime risks at theme parks' to the Frisco City Council and City Managers. Here is an excerpt: "...We looked at 10 different theme parks from across the country and most were not a fair comparison for purposes of this project because of park size and surroundings. We tried to focus on an approximate 2 mile radius around each park to see what the crime statistics immediately surrounding the parks looked like..." Read Chief Shilson's research summary in its entirety.

The research notes a 2019 case study published in Justice Quarterly.  The Frisco Police Department also cites a conversation with one of the authors of the case study, Dr. Alex R. Piquero.

This is a conceptual drawing not intended to show what will be built.
