City of Frisco Jail

The City of Frisco Jail facility is housed in the Police Department's headquarters building, which is located at 7200 Stonebrook Parkway. All persons arrested by Frisco police officers are brought to the jail facility where they may be housed until their release or transfer to a county jail facility.

Detention Facility

The jail is operated by detention officers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Currently, the jail has an authorized staffing level that includes a detention manager, four detention supervisors, as well as a number of detention officers.

All detention officers initially receive 40 hours of training and additional follow-up training each year to include defensive tactics, CPR, tactical communications, and other related courses of instruction.

Facilities

The jail can house up to 41 inmates at any one time and utilizes 5 male cells, 2 female cells, 5 single cells, and 1 drunk tank for intoxicated prisoners. Each cell can hold multiple prisoners. In addition, there is a sallyport, dual intake area for regular and intoxicated prisoners, bail waiting area, offices for jail administration, judge's arraignment room, visitors center, and a control room that electronically monitors the entire facility.
