Frisco Fire Department Rescues Construction Worker Who Fell 20+ Feet Down Manhole

(November 27, 2023) A construction worker is being airlifted to Medical City Plano after falling more than 20 feet down a manhole earlier this afternoon.  

The incident happened at 2:51 p.m. at 777 Main Street.   The Frisco Fire Department shares the man is part of a construction crew doing concrete utility work inside the storm drain.  

The Frisco Fire Department’s Rescue 1 team deployed and removed the worker from the hole, which is approximately 3 – 5 feet wide.  

At transport, firefighters described the worker’s condition as ‘life threatening’.
